Home and Away confirms a wedding storyline after nine-month wait

Cash and Eden's big day is back on.

Home and Away gets Cash Newman and Eden Fowler's wedding plans back on track in heartwarming scenes next week.

The couple reaffirm their commitment to each other while surrounded by family and friends – nine months after Cash left Eden heartbroken by ending their original engagement.

Fans have been eagerly waiting to see what Cash has in store for Eden, as he recently vowed to pop the question again when she least expects it.

The Summer Bay policeman has since been distracted by the ongoing River Boy problem in the local community, but in next week's episodes, his attention is solely on Eden again.

Cash convinces Eden to pack her bags so they can head off for a mysterious trip. Once alone, Cash makes sure to pack the engagement ring that he's been keeping safe for the right moment.

Eden is confused over what's going on, but as they pull up outside the home of Cash's foster father Gary Morrow, all starts to become clear…

"Eden can't stop smiling as she knows that something very special is about to happen," our Home and Away source shares.

"After the couple are warmly greeted by Gary, there are more surprises for Eden as her mum Deb makes an unexpected appearance alongside Abigail, Levi, Mackenzie, Remi and Kirby.

"It's obvious that the group wouldn't have gathered if this wasn't an important occasion."

Sure enough, Cash soon gets down on one knee and presents Eden with the engagement ring.

Cash promises Eden that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and she's quick to accept his proposal, with friends and family there to enjoy the moment and cheer them on.

"Eden later delivers a romantic gesture of her own as she puts on an impromptu performance of 'All Of You' – the Lyrik song that Cash once inspired," our insider adds.

"This is a happy ending after a long road for Cash and Eden. At one point it seemed like their relationship would never recover, as Cash harshly cut ties with Eden while struggling with the death of his sister Felicity.

"It's only recently that he's come to his senses and realised how much Eden still means to him."

Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday 23 June and Tuesday 24 June on Channel 5.
