Home and Away spoilers reveal Eliza aftermath as Alf leaves Roo devastated
Alf warns Roo not to foster again…
Home and Away's Alf Stewart shocks his daughter Roo next week as he urges her to give up on fostering forever.
Alf issues some harsh home truths as Roo struggles to pick up the pieces following Eliza Sherwood's destructive time in Summer Bay.
After taking a few days away following Eliza's departure, Roo returns in a solemn mood as she shares the results of the teenager's psychiatric evaluations.
Despite the heavy atmosphere, Roo tries to put a positive spin on things by suggesting that Eliza could be back one day.
Roo is determined that she won't give up on Eliza – even though the troubled teen nearly killed Alf," our Home and Away source explains.
"She predicts that Eliza could come back to the Bay once she's worked through her issues, but Alf and Marilyn are both horrified as they were glad to see the back of her."
When persistent Roo tries to contact Eliza, she's firmly told by the authorities that she needs to make a clean break.
Alf then steps in to warn Roo that she has no future with Eliza – and as far as he's concerned, she shouldn't be fostering again at all.
Roo is dismayed by Alf's stance but makes it very clear that she won't give up on her dream of being a foster carer just because of one bad experience.
After everyone has time to cool off, Alf assures Roo that he doesn't see her as a failure after Eliza's antics. However, he does point out that Roo cared so much for Eliza that she couldn't see what was going on right in front of her.
"Roo is forced to admit that she'll have to cut ties with Eliza as it wouldn't be a good idea to bring her back," our source adds.
Things don't fully go Alf's way, though, as Roo is adamant that she won't give up on her chance to foster other kids.
"Alf refuses to give his blessing this time, which leaves father and daughter at a stalemate. What will Roo do?"
Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday 25 June on Channel 5.
