A new arrival changes everything.
Home and Away's Tane Parata is left stunned next week as Jo Langham abruptly calls off their new romance. With a charming ex-boyfriend unexpectedly appearing in the Bay, Jo is suddenly torn over who she wants to be with.
The show is about to introduce new character Eddie Shepherd, who enters talks with Remi Carter about joining his record label. But as Eddie gets to know the Bay better, he's surprised to cross paths with Jo's dad David outside the Surf Club.
Eddie turns out to be an old flame of Jo's," our Home and Away source explains. "When Eddie sees David, he shouts out straight away and they enjoy a warm reunion.
"David predicts that Jo and Lacey will be delighted to see Eddie, who's still held in high regard by the family. He then shares some personal details of what they've all been up to recently – most importantly, how the man responsible for the death of Jo's mum has finally been brought to justice."
The timing couldn't be worse for Tane to call Jo about their next date. Jo immediately decides to call it off, feeling confused about Eddie's return to her life and what it could mean for her in the long-run.
When Jo and Eddie take a walk along the beach together, Eddie boldly asks whether she's thought about him much. Declaring his feelings, he admits how much he's missed her.
Poor Tane witnesses these intimate moments from afar and cautiously approaches Lacey for more information. Lacey confirms that Eddie is Jo's ex-boyfriend, but she encourages him to speak to Jo himself if he wants proper answers..
Loyal Lacey tips off Jo that Tane is asking some very awkward questions," our insider reveals.
"Jo realises that she needs to clear things up, so heads to Tane's house for a difficult conversation. She admits that her ex has turned up, which has brought up a lot of old feelings. As she needs time to process everything, she doesn't think another date with Tane would be the right move at the moment."
Will Tane wait for Jo while she figures out who she wants?
