Bea has been causing drama on the Square.

EastEnders star Ronni Ancona is departing the show in a dramatic exit storyline. Ronni has played Linda Carter's school friend Bea Pollard since joining the soap last year, but her time on the show is nearing an end.

Bea has certainly made waves in the Square after risking big trouble for Honey when she fraudulently took out a credit card in her name. And now, The Sun reports that Ancona will be leaving the series, with her character receiving an explosive exit.

The scheming character was never planned to stick around long-term, though, as the initial casting release confirmed that she was brought in for a finite stint.

An EastEnders spokesperson commented: "As we previously announced, Ronni Ancona joined EastEnders for a short stint, which was then extended, for a very dramatic storyline which will unfold over the next few weeks."

Bea has been on a downward spiral after her credit card scheme was exposed by former love interest Ian Beale, who discovered that she'd been buying out votes in Honey's name leading to his win in the Walford Council elections.

She was forced to confess everything to Honey, who still planned to forgive her, but Billy was not happy upon discovering the truth and threw her out of the house. This led to an act of retaliation from Bea as she tampered with Billy's ladder before leaving. However, Honey was the one who got injured in a serious fall.

Since then, Bea has been doing all she can to worm her way back in with Honey and Billy – could worse trouble be coming up before she leaves Walford?

As for what's in store for Bea, Ancona previously hinted that things were going to get much worse, adding: "It’s going to get so much darker for Honey and Billy. I would say that Bea increasingly spirals, and she becomes more dangerous as a result."

She went on to say that Billy's distrust of Bea would be a huge catalyst: "Billy can see right through her. That’s why she can’t stand Billy."
