 What's next in Summer Bay?

Coming up on Home and Away, David's job could be on the line as Alf considers whether to lodge a formal complaint about the police boss.

Elsewhere, Tane finds a reason to smile again, and John is forced to take action after stubborn Sonny pushes himself too hard at the gym.

Here's a full collection of 12 massive moments.

Richie wants to be mates with Cash

Richie is keen to get to know Cash better, so Eden invites him and Abigail over for a double dinner date.

Conversation at the table is awkward until Richie tells Cash the story of why he wanted to become a police officer.

The next morning, Richie is confident that he's won his colleague over, but Cash pleads with David not to put them on any more shifts together.

 Alf makes a life-changing decision

Alf is desperate to prove his innocence and begs Abigail to remember what she saw during the hit and run.

But just as Alf starts to fear he's losing his marbles, David arrives to say forensics have cleared his vehicle, but the case is still open.

Distressed that he's still not been cleared, Alf hands his car keys to Justin and declares that his driving days are done.

Remi's song is a hit

Remi and Eden present their finished song to Justin, who is full of praise and wants to know what they intend to do with this new music.

Remi is unsure how much of his personal health battle he wants to be exposed, but Justin thinks he should go for it.

Taking Justin's advice on board, Remi tells Eden they should release the track straight away.

 Alf refuses to budge

Alf stands firm on his decision not to drive again until the real culprit of the hit and run is found, but Leah worries about how he'll manage.

When an invite comes through for Archie's first birthday party, Alf gruffly refuses to attend and Leah is forced to break the news to Harper.

Tane is hopeful for the future

Tane is well enough to leave hospital and return home, but Levi warns that it will be a while before he's back to his former self.

Hearing about Archie's birthday celebrations helps lift Tane's spirits as he tells Mac that he feared his life was over.

The party is a huge success and Tane thanks Harper for giving him the chance to share their son's special milestone.

Lacey is angry with Tane

John tells Mali they need to let Tane know that they've opened the gym against his wishes.

Mali agrees it's the right thing and leaves Lacey in charge as he heads out. However, Lacey isn't happy with the idea of working for the man who just broke her sister's heart.

She vents her frustrations to John, who later warns Mali that Lacey could quit.

Sonny is in a hurry

Sonny puts all his energy into assembling a toddler tricycle for Archie, but when he returns home, John has to help him up the stairs.

John and Dana think Sonny needs to pace himself, but Sonny is desperate to speed up his recovery process.

Later in the week, a defiant Sonny arrives at the gym on crutches and declares that he's becoming a member of Summer Bay Fit.

Lacey has a change of heart

Mali asks Lacey to help with the gym again, but she bites back and tells him that helping Tane feels like a betrayal to Jo.

With the future of the business under threat, Leah appeals to Lacey, suggesting the gym is a place for everyone.

Inspired by Leah's words, Lacey decides to embrace the community spirit and agrees to return to work.

Alf piles the pressure on David

Alf throws himself into work at the Surf Club as a way of distracting himself from the Abigail drama.

Roo is suspicious of her dad's behaviour, which only makes Alf angrier and prompts him to put more pressure on David to find the guilty party.

Sonny gets barred from the gym

Ignoring the advice of his friends, Sonny embarks on a series of hardcore workouts.

Remi can see his friend is pushing himself too hard, but Sonny refuses to listen to reason.

In the end John is forced to intervene and tells Sonny he's got no other choice but to terminate his membership for now.

David is under attack from Leah

Alf is frustrated to learn that the police are no longer actively investigating Abigail's case, meaning his name is still in the mud.

After hearing about David's dismissive attitude towards Alf, Leah has a go at the police officer.

David takes offence and decides he'll go somewhere else for his coffee, but Marilyn stands up for him and tells Leah she was too harsh.

Alf has a tough choice to make

Off the back of Marilyn's advice, Leah apologises to David and accepts his decision to stop actively investigating.

David says sorry to Alf and explains he has the right to file a complaint with the Conduct Commission.

This leaves Alf with a dilemma. Will he swallow his pride and let things lie or is David going to face an internal investigation?
