Sonny (Ryan Bown) has been pushing himself hard since the devastating crash six months ago that left him fearing he may never walk again.
Although Sonny’s now back on his feet and has made impressive progress in recent weeks, now able to walk unaided, he remains frustrated by the limits being placed on him.
The situation took a worrying turn when fellow gym-goer Beau (Blake Richardson) offered Sonny a way to speed up his progress.
The situation complicated itself further when Harper (Jessica Redmayne) crossed paths with Beau at the gym, forcing Sonny to cover by claiming Beau was a physio.
Dana (Ally Harris) encouraged the match however, and passed on her sister’s number to Beau, leaving Sonny panicked.
Beau later warned Sonny not to interfere, making it clear that an agreement between them could work both ways—he’d keep quiet about how they really knew each other, as long as Sonny stopped messing with his relationship with Harper.
When Sonny replied that their agreement didn’t work for him, and warned him to back off Harper, Beau in turn threatened to cut off his steroid supply altogether.
Remi (Adam Rowland) has also started to realise that something isn’t right with his friend. Sonny has become increasingly defensive and erratic, despite the fact that his physical recovery appears to be going well.
Sonny was also forced to ask Remi for a loan to cover his portion of rent for the apartment, after he used up his cash on pills.
Taking drastic action, Remi searches Sonny’s apartment, where he finds the bottle of pills Sonny has been hiding.
As a promo for this week’s episodes shows, whilst Remi begins to research ways to help people misusing steroids, Sonny is at home where his anger boils over.
Knowing that Sonny needs more help than he’s able to provide, Remi has no choice but to break the news to Dana that Sonny has been using steroids.
Dana struggles to accept what Remi has told her, and has to hear it from Sonny himself—but will he admit it when she confronts him with Remi’s claim?
Meanwhile, Beau continues to enjoy his romance with Harper, as they spend some time together on the beach.
But there’s one problem—Sonny has no money with which to pay for them.
Rather than cutting him off, Beau agrees to cover the cost himself, leaving Sonny in his debt.
What will Beau expect in return?
